Walmart charges a referral fee after a completed sale. The rate depends on product category and, for some categories, portions of the total sales price.
- The referral-fee base includes item price plus buyer-paid shipping and handling, gift wrap, and other charges. Buyer-paid sales tax is excluded from this estimate.
- Tiered categories are calculated progressively by price portion, except categories whose official wording applies one rate to the whole sale above or below a threshold.
- There is no standard setup or monthly Marketplace fee. Optional WFS, advertising, storage, return, and other service costs are separate.
- New-Seller Savings, Pro Seller rewards, reduced-referral-fee incentives, and seasonal offers vary by eligibility and are not assumed.
