Describe your Discogs order

The Discogs defaults use the official USD selling-fee policy reviewed September 22, 2026. PayPal processing varies by account and region, so its fields start at zero.

Some platforms include buyer tax in the processing or fee base.

Current Discogs fee assumptions

The estimate separates the official Discogs marketplace fee from payment processing and direct seller costs.

  • Discogs charges 9% of item price plus shipping charged to the buyer. Buyer-paid sales tax is not included in the stated Discogs selling-fee base.
  • For USD orders, the Discogs fee has a $0.10 minimum and $150 maximum. This calculator does not convert those limits into another currency.
  • Discogs does not state a component-rounding rule in the cited policy. This implementation rounds the 9% fee to the nearest cent before applying the minimum and cap; an actual statement can differ by one cent near a boundary.
  • Discogs says PayPal takes its processing fee from the gross payment amount. Because the actual PayPal rate depends on the seller's country, account, payment type, and terms, the editable processing fields default to zero.
  • Buyer sales tax is excluded from seller revenue but is included in the optional PayPal processing base when you enter a rate.
  • Profit subtracts the Discogs fee, entered PayPal processing, item cost, actual shipping cost, and packaging or other direct costs.
