About the project

The payout is not the profit.

Marketplace Math turns changing fee policies and real selling costs into a number a seller can use before listing, promoting, or accepting an offer.

What we are building

Most fee calculators stop after subtracting the marketplace commission. Sellers still need to pay for inventory, shipping, packaging, promotions, payment processing, and sometimes taxes on fees. Our tools keep those layers visible and calculate payout, profit, margin, ROI, and target pricing separately.

The platform is designed for practical decisions: whether to accept an offer, whether a promoted listing makes sense, how much room exists for negotiation, and which marketplace leaves more profit.

What we will not pretend

Fee policies change, account-specific rates exist, and no calculator sees the details of a completed transaction. Every marketplace page names its assumptions, links to the official policy used, and shows a reviewed date. The platform's own statement remains the final record.

Independence

Marketplace Math is independent and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by the marketplaces and payment companies covered. Their names and marks belong to their respective owners and are used only to identify the services being calculated.

How the site may be supported

The site may earn revenue through clearly labeled advertising, sponsorships, or affiliate links. Commercial relationships will not alter formulas or remove source transparency.
