Terms

Terms of Use

Effective July 21, 2026. By using Marketplace Math, you agree to these terms.

Eligibility and acceptance

You may use Marketplace Math only if you can legally agree to these terms. If you use the service for a business or other organization, you represent that you are authorized to accept these terms for it. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

Informational estimates, not professional advice

The calculators and guides provide general informational estimates. They are not financial, tax, accounting, legal, investment, or business advice. They do not guarantee a marketplace payout, profit, fee, tax result, or sales outcome.

Rates and platform rules can change

Marketplaces and payment providers can change fees, bases, tiers, promotions, category treatment, country rules, and account-specific pricing without notice. You are responsible for reviewing the platform's current official policy and completed transaction statement before making a decision.

Your inputs and decisions

You are responsible for the completeness and accuracy of inputs and for deciding which costs, taxes, fees, refunds, and business expenses apply. Marketplace Math is not responsible for losses caused by incomplete inputs, outdated third-party policies, calculation assumptions, technical errors, or reliance on an estimate.

Independent service and trademarks

Marketplace Math is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or operated by eBay, PayPal, Etsy, Whatnot, Depop, Grailed, Mercari, Poshmark, or any other company referenced. Names, logos, and marks belong to their respective owners and are used nominatively to identify the service whose public fees are modeled.

Acceptable use

You may use the site for lawful personal and business planning. You may not attack, overload, scrape in a manner that impairs service, bypass security, introduce malware, misrepresent ownership, republish substantial portions as a competing service, interfere with other visitors, or use the site to violate law or another platform's rules.

Intellectual property and feedback

The original site design, explanatory content, formula implementation, and code are protected by applicable law. Public facts and third-party policies remain the property or responsibility of their respective sources. If you send feedback or correction suggestions, you permit us to use them without restriction or compensation.

Third-party links and services

Links to official platforms and other resources are provided for convenience. Third-party sites have their own terms, privacy practices, availability, and content. We do not control or endorse them.

Availability and changes

We may correct, update, suspend, or discontinue any calculator, guide, feature, or part of the service at any time. We do not promise uninterrupted access, permanent storage, or continued coverage of a particular marketplace.

Disclaimer and limitation of liability

The service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of accuracy, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, or non-infringement to the maximum extent permitted by law. To that extent, Marketplace Math and its operators will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, punitive, or lost-profit damages arising from use of or inability to use the service. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the greater of $100 or the amount you paid Marketplace Math for the service during the prior 12 months.

Governing law and severability

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California and applicable U.S. federal law, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. If a provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions stay in effect. Failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver.

Contact and revisions

Questions may be sent to hello@marketplacemath.com. We may revise these terms as the service changes. The effective date above identifies the current version, and continued use after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
