Current OfferUp local-sale assumptions
OfferUp returned to a local-only marketplace after ending nationwide shipping. The calculator separates the platform's current zero commission from optional costs a seller may still choose or incur.
- OfferUp says it does not charge fees or take a commission from in-person transactions.
- Nationwide shipping stopped for new listings on September 23, 2025 and was removed from eligible existing listings on October 21, 2025.
- Promotions, additional listings, subscriptions, jobs, services, and business products can cost money, but OfferUp displays applicable pricing before purchase and some prices are account-specific.
- Local payment is arranged directly between buyer and seller, so any payment-method charge must be entered from the provider actually used.
- Buyer-paid sales tax and buyer shipping are not modeled because this calculator is for a direct local exchange.
